Course Choice – Foundation Apprenticeships

Pupils in the Senior phase will soon be making choices for subjects going into S5 or S6.  One of the pathways on offer is for pupils to move onto progressing with a Foundation Apprenticeship.  Further information about these will be given out over the next few weeks, however, NESCoL are running Foundation Apprenticeship Information Sessions across three of their campuses in February. The aim of the events is to help students and their support networks to gain all the relevant information they need to make those crucial decisions regarding their Senior Phase timetables.

Curriculum staff and the NESCol Foundation Apprenticeship Programme Officers will be on hand to give an overview of the different frameworks and to answer any questions regarding Foundation Apprenticeships.

Event registration is via Eventbrite and dates and timings are detailed below:

Young Leaders of Learning

There are a group of 10 young people participating in an exciting project that was launched, by Education Scotland, last year.  Bridge of Don Academy was a pilot school in the intial project.  We had a great group of young people that participated in the project in conjunction with 2 other schools in Aberdeen City.  Last year’s Young Leaders did a fantastic job and will be helping to train up the next cohort of Young Leaders.
