Library Resource Centre

The LRC provides a safe and welcoming environment and aims to provide the school community with a resources and information service that supports learning and teaching.

The LRC Co-ordinators are Mrs Marshall and Mrs Kennedy

Opening hours

Monday – Tuesday       8.10am – 4.15pm

Wednesday – Friday     8.10am – 3.15pm

(closed at break time and the first half of lunchtime)

Facilities

Over 5,000 resources including, fiction, non-fiction, reference and careers material.

Our ICT area has 9 networked computers.

Use the LRC for:

  • researching a project
  • personal reading
  • borrowing books
  • internet
  • revision and study
  • discursive essays
  • class visits
  • careers information
  • leisure interests and hobbies
  • exploring GAP year options

Library Club

Meets Monday to Friday 1.30pm – 1.50pm and gives pupils  the opportunity to read and exchange books, do homework, access the computers and play board games. .
