Well done! – Helping out in the community!

Helping in the Community

It was brought to our attention on Fubar News, that some of our pupils did a great job helping someone in the community today.  We don’t, yet, know who these pupils are but are keen to find out, to thank them for their help today.  The post from Fubar was as follows:

A huge thank you to the two boys from Bridge of Don academy who have just helped my grandma up the road from Braehead shopping centre to Slains Road, after she had a fall coming out of the hairdressers.

She was very shaken and worried about getting home via the underpass which is still ridiculously icy and the boys were kind enough to take an arm each and escort her back home. I really can’t thank you both enough for helping out!

Well done boys!  Thank you for taking time and helping this lady get home safely!

Calling all businesses! – Careers Evening 20 February 2018

Our annual careers evening is to be held on 20 February 2018.  There are a large number of universities, colleges and businesses that are going to be in attendance that night, however, we would like to ask any parents/carers to come forward if they have a personal contact or know someone in business that may be willing to have a stall at our event!  It is a well turned out event which provides further careers guidance and pathways for our young people.

If this is something you are interested in or know someone that would be interested please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Cruickshank (DHT) by calling the school office on 01224 707583.
