S1 Boys Football

Bridge of Don Academy S1 Football team has had a successful campaign so far this year. The team won their first 3 league fixtures and made good progress in the Scottish Cup with victories over Banff Academy and Arbroath High School.

The S1 team, led by Mr Cerny and Mr Ellington, started their season with a dramatic derby win against Oldmachar Academy. They showed good resilience in difficult conditions when they managed to secure all 3 points with two late goals in a 3:2 victory. In the second game they managed to beat Bucksburn Academy 2:0 away from home before an impressive 4:0 victory against a strong Lochside Academy team. In the last game, the team experienced their first defeat against Albyn but remained at the top of the table.

In the Scottish Cup, S1s managed to come from behind twice to beat Banff in high winds and heavy rain at BODA playing fields to book an away trip to Arbroath High. The team enjoyed a trip to Arbroath, which was topped by a convincing performance and 6:0 win.

The team is looking forward to the next round of the Scottish Cup against Cults and the remaining league fixtures.
