Article 22 (refugee children)
If a child is seeking refuge or has refugee status, governments must provide them with appropriate protection and assistance to help them enjoy all the rights in the Convention. Governments must help refugee children who are separated from their parents to be reunited with them.
Refugee Week runs from 17th – 23rd June this year. All around the UK there are events happening to help raise awareness and understanding of refugees. During the week there will be different activities happening at Bridge of Don Academy to take action. The Global Goals Group have planned storytelling and a quiz in the library, and a treasure hunt over the next couple of weeks. Also, refugees might even come up in a lesson that pupils wouldn’t expect!
