Following my recent visit to Bridge of Don Academy and the reminder email from Aberdeen City Council, I would like to send you a brief update regarding the OPITO Structured Work Experience Programme – we now have some fantastic companies on board who are hosting a range of exciting activities for the registered pupils.
We still have places available and we have extended the registration date to Friday 8th May.
I am very pleased to announce that BP, Maersk Training, Kongsberg Maritime and Apache have signed up to support the week, amongst others and have arranged a variety of educational and engaging experiences for S5 and S6 pupils, including The Enterprise Trading game at BP. I have attached further information for you to pass on to your pupils as well as the registration form.
The programme, which takes place from June 1st – 5th, includes a wide range of interactive activities ranging from simulator demonstrations at Maersk Training, to workplace tours and team building exercises. Pupils will also have the opportunity to meet professionals from a range of roles and expand their knowledge of the oil and gas industry in an enjoyable environment. This is a great opportunity to inspire and educate pupils who are looking to join the industry in the years to come.
