Scottish Book Week

Book Week Scotland runs from 25November to 1December and is the national celebration of books and reading. To get everyone at BODA talking about books the following activities will be taking place:

  1. Pupils have been invited to take part in a competition to match up pairs of characters with the books they appear in. The clues will be dotted around the school on classroom doors.
  2. Members of staff have been asked to put up a poster in their rooms or offices saying what they are currently reading.
  3. A small group of pupils will be interviewing selected staff about their reading habits.
  4. Themed booklists will be on display around the school in order to tie reading into curricular areas.
