The Student Advice and Support Team (SAST) from NESCol will be hosting online events throughout July and August for new applicants who may benefit from a supported transition to College.
This will be a chance to meet (virtually) with other students as well as members of the SAST and have an introduction to life as a student at NESCol and address any queries you may have prior to starting College. We want to ensure your transition to College life is as smooth as possible. Our programme of events will include:
- An opportunity to meet with other applicants and with staff
- Group exercises, discussions and team working
- Virtual Campus Tours
- Introduction to Study Skills
- Introduction to Money Management

The University of Aberdeen are offering virtual sessions called ‘Learning From Lawyers’.
This will take place on Tuesday 20th April from 5pm-6.50pm (approx).The event will give young people the opportunity to hear from several legal professionals who work in different sectors of law. The speakers will talk about their role and area of work which will help young people to build on their knowledge of working in Law and to help explore their options in the legal industry.
This event will be run online using Blackboard Collaborate and anyone interested will be sent joining information in due course.

On Thursday March 18th from 6.30-7.30pm DYW North East will be holding a free virtual event for Parents/Carers and Young People to highlight the wide range of pathways available in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, supporting young people in their journey beyond school.
Whether a Senior Phase pupil is considering staying in education or entering the world of work, it can be a confusing landscape.
