Scotia Instrumentation Ltd have the following opportunities open for Apprentice Calibration Technicians. They intend to take on 3 or 4 this year, starting, in August and are looking for school leavers to apply for their 3/4 year apprenticeship for Apprentice Calibration Technicians.
Scotia are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking Apprentice Calibration Technicians. The successful candidates will be working within various mechanical and electrical laboratories and be part of one of Scotland’s premier instrumentation businesses.
Scotia Instrumentation Ltd pride themselves on their high level of service which demands, quality, process efficiency and product innovation.
The apprenticeship will consist of either day or up to 1 month release to a training provider and candidates will attain a NC and possibly HNC in a relevant engineering subject. Throughout the 3/4 years they will train in most of the
various calibration labs on rotation – 3 months in each.
This would suit pupils looking for a hands on job who have the following subjects (not essential though)
Design & Manufacture
Woodwork / Metal work
Maths – NAT 4/5
Physics
Engineering practice
With interests in
Finding out how things work
Cycle / car maintenance
