Countdown to a #FairtradeChristmas – Day 11

Countdown to a #FairtradeChristmas – Day 11

Who are you?: Cara Walkden, Social Studies teacher at Bridge of Don Academy and Secretary of Aberdeen for a Fairer World.

What is your Fair Trade product?: Christmas tree decorations.

Why?: I love decorating the Christmas tree and a lot of our decorations have sentimental value. Every year we like to add to our collection with either a locally made decoration from a day out or a Fair Trade bauble or two. This year we bought sets of Fair Trade baubles that we have split for stocking fillers for our children and their cousins to have one each of. The quality is excellent, the designs are beautiful and it feels good to know that each purchase is helping an artist in a family run business in Kashmir.
