Safe walking route to school in icy conditions

Our colleagues the janitors work hard during poor weather to ensure that there is at least one safe route into school for those walking.  This route leads from Braehead Way across the car park and straight to the main entrance.  This is the route that should be used in icy conditions.  Janitorial services do not have the resources to clear larger areas such as the car park.  However they do their best to ensure, when possible, that other areas are sanded.  It would be very helpful if parents who are dropping children off by car do so on Braehead Way and pupils can then use the main path to access school.  We have a number of spaces in the car park for visitors and these are used at the beginning and end of the day for pupil taxis.
