BODA Staff do Strictly!

BODA Staff do Strictly!

Mr Ness, Mrs McSeveney, Miss Ritchie & Mr Wallace are all members of staff who pride ourselves in encouraging our pupils to think of others, challenge themselves & always give their absolute best.  So it’s only fair to lead by example…and what better way than on the dancefloor!!

The Ultra Ballroom event runs in conjunction with Cancer Research UK and all funds raised go directly towards this fantastic cause. The event itself has involved us participating in 8 weeks of intensive professional training in ballroom dancing – learning new techniques & styles waaay outside our usual comfort zone. Our rigorous training is followed by us (along with 30 other couples) displaying our newly found ‘talent’ in a glitzy ballroom competition on Sunday 15th October 2017 at the Beach Ballroom…think Strictly Come Dancing Meets Aberdeen!

To prepare for the event, and for one lunchtime only, we will be performing our routines for any staff or pupils who wish to come along and support us…for a donation (of course). This will take place on Friday 13 October at 1.30pm in the Games Hall.  All funds raised will also be donated to CRUK!

Additionally, if any parents/ guardians fancy coming along on the night to support us and feast your eyes on our dance masterpieces (we can guarantee it will be a sight to behold!!) then just follow the link below and join us for an evening of glitz, glam and, of course, dancing! Please be aware before booking that it is an exclusively 18+ years event and there is dress code which must be adhered to (details on this are available on the website)!

A huge thank you in advance for your support and generosity – it is really greatly appreciated! We promise to give it our absolute best on the night and do BODA proud. In the meantime, please wish us luck as we enter into our final week of rehearsal and pray for us as we keeeeep dancing!
