Today at the Making It Happen conference at the Exhibition Centre run by Elevator the S6 Leadership team pitched to an audience of 150 college students and senior school pupils from across Aberdeen and won £1000. The pitch was aimed at how they could use £1000 to develop young people for the world of work and the judges believed that the S6 Leaders ideas and thoughts for an interactive workshop aimed at school leavers were the best and awarded them the prize.
The process included the group creating a 1 minute video pitch before the October Holidays which then got them selected to present live at the conference. The pupils have ideas to use current technology and invest the money in part to purchase virtual reality headsets to assist with the delivery of the workshop, which will also in the long term benefit pupils in years to come.
