On Wednesday 27th June Bridge of Don Academy hosted its first ever Summer Festival which incorporated sports day events along with inter-house competitions.
The event began after break and saw the whole school organised in their houses outside of the field before it was launched by Olympic curler and BBC Commentator Jackie Lockhart. Following this pupils were able to take part in a wide range of practical activities ranging from a climbing wall to zumba, volleyball to velcrowall and mountain biking to bungee run. Sports finalists for S1-S4 were also crowned in the 100m, 200m, shot putt and high jump.
Inter-house events were staged at the end of the day and saw Crathes, Fyvie and Drum go head to head in tug of war, relays and Tyre flipping with Crathes coming out on top in a very close competition.
