Support for parents of children with additional support needs

The ASN Parents’ Forum meets each term (4 times each school year) The meetings are an opportunity for parents who have pupils with Additional Support Needs (ASN) to come along and meet other parents and education professionals.

This year, to get the best out of each meeting, we are doing things slightly differently. Each meeting starts with tea/coffee, followed by a themed presentation from a relevant professional.  After that, you can speak face to face with a range of professionals involved in the forum offering advice and support to parents. (Past themes have included Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC), Dyslexia and the Educational Psychology Service).

Come along to find out more about Additional Support for Learning, receive updates on ASN matters and have your say in any joint Council-Parent ASN workgroups that come up.

The first meeting will be a general introduction. Topics for future meetings will be discussed.
